Lori Barr, M.S., CCC-A joined our staff in 2002. She brought five years’ experience as a diagnostic and hearing aid audiologist including some work with implantable hearing aids. She currently provides service in Hagerstown, Frederick and outreach services at Buckingham’s Choice, a retirement community nearby. She and her husband are proud parents of a lively daughter.

Paul Teie, M.S., CCC-A brings over 15 years’ experience in the field of audiology. In addition to his varied diagnostic positions, he has also worked as a manufacturer’s representative responsible for educating audiologists about his products and training them in the computer programs needed to adjust them. He also worked for a time for a supplier of audiological test equipment giving him solid knowledge about the latest developments in our field. In Paul’s other life, he is married to an audiologist and has two small children. Paul divides his time between our Frederick office and his position as Area Manager for Sonus.

Tish Claytor, M.S., CCC-A, FAAA, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and Howard University. Support Staff

Danette Shea, Frederick Monocacy Office Manager, in addition to being the person most likely to answer the phone when you call and greet you as you enter our office, is in charge of scheduling appointments, and coordinates submission of our Medicare and other insurance claims.

Nancy McElwee, Tri-State Audiology Assistant focuses on hearing aids and their problems, making minor repairs, shipping them out for major repairs, ordering new ones, and keeping the inventory straight. In her spare time she excels in ballroom dancing.

Joy Hollar, Frederick Office Receptionist, helps out with practically everything using her background in administration and customer relations at several local firms. Joy has the advantage of being a childhood friend of Danette's, which helps keep the Frederick and Wheaton Hearing Center offices in close coordination.

Terri Brown, Wheaton Office Patient Coordinator. Call her to schedule an appointment with one of our hearing care providers, or to check on the progress of your hearing aid repair. She's the one most likely to understand our new computer system's quirks.

Phil Ingersoll, MSEE, is an engineer by training and formerly was the Director of the Technology Applications Laboratory at the Army's Harry Diamond Labs in Maryland, and the Director of Engineering at the Army's Tank-Automotive Research and Engineering Center in Michigan. At our centers, he is in charge of unexpected problems, like the time a squirrel got into the sound booth at the Hagerstown office. He also creates advertising copy for the centers.
