Q&A

Subject: Re: Widex hearing aids (again),

From: Ed

Hello Again, I found your pricing for a Widex hearing aid.

Now I have two questions: If I bought a Widex hearing aid from you:
    1) Where would I get it programmed ( I live in Central Nebraska)?
    2) How much would that cost?

    Thanks for your help, Ed

Hi, You really need to find a local Widex audiologist, Ed. The process is quite involved. Someone has to take an impression (mold) of your ear to get the hearing aid case or earmold to fit in your ear. Then the hearing aid needs to be adjusted to your ear while you are wearing it. (The programmer checks for feedback and adjusts the processor for your particular ear, while the hearing aid is in your ear.) After you have worn the aid for a few weeks, you go back to the audiologist to get adjustments made.

The American Speech and Hearing Association probably could direct you to an audiologist in your area. (www.asha.org)
